Royal Challengers Bangalore has played an outstanding match in three consecutive matches. They remain unbeaten throughout their match.
Both AB de Villiers and Maxwell have played an outstanding partnership in the victory of the RCB. Though the starting of the match was a bit cold with only 9 runs for the loss of 2 wickets Glenn Maxwell and AB de Villiers scored 78 and 76 who were unbeaten by high spirited bowling performance by Knight Riders. They defeated their opponent team KKR by 38 runs at MA Chidambaram Stadium on Sunday in Chennai.
In the history of RCB performance, it is the first time they manage to win three consecutive matches in an IPL season. Andre Russell played and earned formidable runs for KKR and did it by all the rules of cricket but in the end, RCB managed to grasp its victory for the third time.
RCB had chosen to bat and earned a huge score of 221. Chasing the humongous score is not easy for KKR. In the first two overs, RCB lost its captain Virat Kohli with only 5 runs followed by Rajat Patidar with 1 run in the second over.
After the tragedy, Maxwell and Padikkal helped to revive the RCB score. Radikal played the fiddle while Maxwell took it as an aggressor. The right-handed batsman Maxwell hammered all the bowlers of KKR and set to take the score of RCB far off 190 run mark.
Finally, Prasidh Krishna gave some relief to KKR and knocked out Padikkal in 12 overs. The partnership of Maxwell and Padikkal ended at 95 with the loss of 3 wickets.
At last De Villiers joined Maxwell and stimulated the innings and RCB climbed to the mark of more than 200 scores at the end.
On the other hand KKR, Shubham Gill who scored just 21 from nine balls also lost its wicket in the 2nd over of inning in trying for a good shot in the hand of Kyle Jamieson.
Then Rahul Tripathi joined the ground. The partnership of Nitish Rana and Rahul Tripathi put on 34 runs for the 2nd wicket. Under the pressure of chasing the humongous score Tripathi ended up losing his wickets to Shubham Gill in the 6th over, bringing down KKR score to 57 with the loss of 2 wickets.
In the coming overs, the pressure on the KKR intensified. Rana also lost his wicket to Yuzvendra Chahal adding 18 runs to his team score. KKR further collapsed when Dinesh Kartik was sent back to the pavilion by Chahal. He fails to impress us with his batting skills and ends up scoring 2 runs and left his team in trouble at 68 with the loss of 4 wickets.
After the loss of four important wickets, Morgan comes for the revival of the team. He scored 29 runs from 23 balls but unfortunately, his game spirit was short-lived and he was knocked down by Harshal Patel.
KKR still needs 91 runs for his victory. Andre Russell added 19 runs to the scoreboard followed by Sakib Al Hasan 26 and Pat Cummins 6 respectively. In the end, the task is very much complicated to KKR and the loose match with 38 runs.
